Urgent appointments can be made in elective Orthopaedic/ Rheumatology/Pain Clinics for patients with:
Consider diagnosis (discuss within peer review).
If thought to be of a musculoskeletal origin:
If not responding consider onward referral via Interface Team.
If not responding after comprehensive conservative treatments consider referral to surgeon.
Patients with soft tissue groin pain are highly unlikely to require a referral to secondary care (as further diagnostic tests and treatment are unlikely to offer additional value). Therefore, no referrals should be made to secondary care orthopaedics unless the following criteria are met:
